Básquet Girona failed to win the derby in an exciting match until the last minute

Basketball Girona loses the derby in Fontajau against Baxi Manresa (83-84). Manresa started by putting the first differences on the scoreboard with a partial score of 11-20, Girona reacted quickly and readjusted the score to 22-24. In the second quarter, an intense defense from Girona managed to get off to a good start, causing Manresa to only score 5 points in the first four minutes of play in the second quarter. Then, a partial 0-11 in favor of Manresa, put the Girondins against the ropes, who went into the break eight points behind (40-48).

In the resumption, Manresa was better in both circles, dominating the rebound (31 to 45 in total) and a partial 5-11 extended the difference to fourteen points. In the last quarter, a 14-2 run from Girona allowed them to take the lead for the first time in the entire game, thanks to a recovery by Minda that ended with a basket by Sergi Martínez. Unfortunately, Badio made a basket and Girona couldn’t answer it.
