The Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA) has started a collaboration project with Bàsquet Girona with the aim of improving the sustainability and water management of the club’s pavilion. To carry it out, the technical team has installed several state-of-the-art sensors, a flowmeter and an autosampler that will allow for the precise quantification of both the volume and quality of the grey water generated in the facilities. With the data obtained, the best way to reuse this resource internally will be studied, thus achieving considerable savings in overall water consumption and a much lower ecological footprint in the day-to-day life of the sports entity.
