Girona U18 Basketball loses against Casademont Zaragoza

First match of the U18 men’s team of Bàsquet Girona in Huelva, with defeat against Casademont Zaragoza by 77 to 67. The team has competed very well and in a very serious way, especially in the first quarter, where it has achieved a maximum difference of 10 points. At the end of the second quarter, Casademont Zaragoza has shortened the difference and Bàsquet Girona only dominated by one point.

In the second half, the start was very even, but a 14-0 run in favor of Casademont Zaragoza gave them a significant advantage. Despite being trailing, the team continued to work and, after a 10-point deficit, they were only 4 points behind a couple of times, with possession to further reduce the difference in the score. At that point, however, the lack of accuracy and turnovers caused the final difference to return to 10 points.

A very good first experience for this group of Bàsquet Girona players, who tomorrow will have the second day with a new match against Unicaja.

In the second quarter, the team continued to work the same way, but the opponent made very meritorious actions, in which they managed to find baskets that they earned.”

In the third quarter it was a bit difficult for us, due to their defensive approach. The team, despite the 10-point difference in the last quarter, came back, but in the tight end we were no longer able to turn the score around.
